The crash also shut down Route 92 for four hours and caused diesel fuel to spill, according to State Police.
Around 1:30 p.m., the tractor-trailer traveling southbound collided with a Chevrolet Trail Blazer traveling northbound, Trooper Steve Brdaric said.
The truck was towing a flat bed trailer, which was empty.
Trooper Brdaric said that the blazer crossed into the trucks lane.
It appears the blazer hit the tires on the side of the truck, Trooper Brdaric said.
The driver of the blazer, Jaime Creps, 29, of South Montrose, and her 2-year-old daughter, were flown to Danville for care.
Trooper Brdaric said that the driver of the tractor-trailer, Brock Schmeckenbecher, 32, of Tunkhannock, was not injured.
The state Department of Transportation, Nicholson Fire Co., Factoryville Ambulance, Tyler 601 and Wyoming County Emergency Management Agency assisted police at the scene.
